CONTINUITY ASSESSMENT 1

HOW IT WENT

The first assessment went really well. I stuck to my continuity notes. which I had on my phone as I didn't have time to write them out before the assessment, and looked exactly how I wanted. My models hair was on my side and was very easy to style. His makeup went really well. The only thing I would have changed is the blood on the side of the face. I think it was a bit unnecessary and due to not including it when practicing I wasn't sure how it would turn out. However, I personally think it looks ok in the images and in person but I was worried about recreating these exact blood marks in the next continuity assessment because the blood kept running to I didn't know if i would be able to get them in the exact same shape. The lips went extremely well and so did the eye make-up. Another thing that disappointed me was the camera. On the camera the images looked absolutely fine but once I put them on the screen they looked too over exposed which was slightly annoying but I could still see what I created for the next assessment.

CONTINUITY NOTES
  1. Prime entire face and neck using Illamasqua satin primer
  2. Mix Kryolan ivory foundation with moisturiser and a slight darker tone to make the model look paler than he is
  3. Contour using a dark foundation from the Kryolan foundation palette and moisturiser to make it more creamy and apply by dabbing the brush where the contour should be. Aim to create defined cheek bones and wrinkles on forehead and around eyes.
  4. Blend in with a Zoeva face shape brush
  5. Bronze using the Illamasqua sculp palette and a kryolan powder brush
  6. Apply purple, red, blue and yellow supracolour around eyes to make model look tired and worn out. Apply by dabbing small amounts and then blending it in
  7. Red liner blended in corner of nose to make him look ill
  8. Apply translucent powder everywhere to keep everything in place.
  9. Backcomb the eyebrows using a mascara wand
  10. Apply small amounts of eyelash glue to the lips, wait for it to dry and become clear, then ask model to rub lips together so the glue creates a dry, cracked look
  11. Apply fake blood, and red and black supracolour
  12. Comb hair and separate into side parting
  13. Wet hair using water and keep it in place with lots of hairspray
  14. Use hairspray to create a quiff at side
  15. Pull down curl in the centre of the forehead and hairspray
  16. Add splashed of blood to the side of the cheek to link back to how Hyde was a murderer.
